Lego Halo is due out later this year
God of war: chains of Olympus received ‘game of the month’ from EGM (PSP only though) – has anyone played the first one?
Steven Speilberg has developed an odd game called ‘Boom blox’ (Wii). He has a 3 game deal with EA and this is the first fruit of the partnership. Basically you built blocks and bash them down again.
A retro-programmer has converted Guitar Hero to the Commodore 64. Have a look here. How awesome!

Reading for the Indy movie
Archaeology magazine’s feature article for the May/June 08 issue is Legend of the Crystal Skulls: the truth behind Indiana Jones’ latest quest. It is recommended reading before seeing the movie. An interesting story, though I doubt the film comes to the same conclusions!

Book news
Penguin have a new 007 imprint devoted to Bond novels. They will be releasing a new Bond novel written by Sebastian Faulks writing as Ian Fleming. Not sure how that will work! It is called Devil May Care and the cover is very striking.
Other interesting books out this month: Breath by Tim Winton; The accidental sorcerer by K E Mills; The seance by John Harwood; The big little book of happy sadness by Colin Thompson; Lamplighter, Monster Blood Tattoo book 2 by D M Cornish.
